Dianna is hellbent on revenge. As the last shred of her humanity is ripped from her, she decides to embrace her monstrous side and set the worlds alight. Welcome to my review of Throne of Broken Gods by Amber V. Nicole.

The Plot, Characters and Story Progression

After the ending of The Book of Azrael, there was no way I wasn’t picking this straight up. Reeling to know what happens after the cliffhanger I’m glad the story picks right up and draws you straight back in from where you left off. You thought Dianna was a bad b*tch in the first book? You haven’t seen anything yet.

When I burn this world to embers, and you paint me as the villain, remember,
I really did try to be good . . . once.

Dianna is back for the deepest darkest revenge in this book and boy did I relate. The feeling after being brought to your knees by the world around you and wanting to unleash a hell bent wrath upon everyone who destroyed you is so real.

I was once again destroyed, shocked and utterly wrecked by yet another ending… Amber i’m looking at you! The betrayals, the twists, the turns, I wasn’t ready and I don’t think anything could have prepared me for it.

World Building, Atmosphere and Setting

The world building in The Throne of Broken Gods continues to grip and entice you as more and more of the plot unfolds before the pages. Watching whole worlds be ripped and torn apart by Dianna as she sets every inch of it aflame in retribution.

The Verdict

I am broken in the best way possible after the ending of this book. Some of the scenes felt unnecessary and dragged things out so The Throne of Broken Gods gets 4 stars from me.
